How funding-ready are you?

Answer eight honest questions. You'll get an instant readiness score and see exactly which gaps to close first.

  1. 1You have 12+ months of clean, up-to-date financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

  2. 2You can state your monthly revenue, margins, and cash runway from memory.

  3. 3Your core operations are documented in SOPs — the business runs without you in every decision.

  4. 4You have key hires or a leadership team who run day-to-day without you.

  5. 5Your entity, bookkeeping, and tax filings are current and in order.

  6. 6You have a written plan showing exactly how new capital would be deployed.

  7. 7You track KPIs on a dashboard and review them on a regular cadence.

  8. 8You know your credit profile and what lenders or capital partners look for.

What "ready" is built on

The four things capital partners actually check

Funding readiness isn't luck. It's four fixable pillars — and each is something we install with you.

Financial clarity

Clean books, current statements, known margins, and a cash runway you can state without hunting. Capital partners fund businesses they can read.

Systems & process consulting

Systems that run without you

Documented SOPs and a management operating system, so the business isn't one person away from stalling. That de-risks you in a partner's eyes.

Management & process consulting

A team that can execute

Key hires and a leadership bench that can deploy new capital and hit the plan — not a founder doing everything alone.

Hiring & talent strategy

A credible growth story

A written plan showing exactly how funding gets deployed and what it returns. The clearer the use of capital, the stronger your position.

Important: we prepare, we don't fund

Gap Fund is a business and leadership consulting firm. We are not a lender, broker, or investor. We do not lend money, offer investment advice, broker securities, provide escrow, or receive, hold, or distribute client or investor funds. Our funding-readiness work is consulting; our capital-connection service is limited to facilitating professional introductions and coordinating project budgets. Any funding decision and the capital itself come solely from independent third parties.

Does Gap Fund provide the funding?

No. Gap Fund is a consulting firm — we are not a lender or investor and we never lend, invest, hold, or distribute funds. We get your business ready to be funded and, for a smaller set of real-estate operators, facilitate professional introductions to potential capital sources. The decision and the capital always come from third parties.

What does ‘funding-ready’ actually mean?

It means the things a lender, investor, or capital partner checks are already in place: clean and current financials, documented operations, a capable team, current entity and tax standing, and a clear written plan for how capital gets used and repaid. Our work is installing those pieces.

How long does it take to get ready?

It depends on where you're starting. The scorecard on this page gives you a fast read. From there, a consultation produces a written plan with scope and fixed pricing — often a focused engagement on the one or two gaps holding you back, not a year-long project.

Is the scorecard a guarantee of funding?

No. It's a self-assessment to show you where you stand and what to work on. No score guarantees any outcome, and Gap Fund does not approve, arrange, or promise funding of any kind.
